Leadership is something that is sorely lacking in many realms these days. We need those who would be statesman and do what is best for the country. Sadly what we see many times are men and woman in places of leadership who are looking out for themselves and how they can keep their elected position. We have also seen men and women in places of leadership in business who were just looking at how they could make the quickest buck for themselves and not caring about the company for the long haul. We need people that will just tell us what they really think and what they are going to do so we can make a good decision. I am sick and tired of potential leaders who ride the fence on issues so they can try keep as many people happy as possible. Stand for something and stand strong. Stop trying to be loved by everyone. If you stand on the fence you will eventually fall off and hurt yourself. This happens on both sides of the table. It is not just Republicans or just Democrats. Lets face it. If they cannot stand strong on an issue then what kind of leader will they be. We hear the term flip floppers many times when is comes to politicians and their inability to stick with one side of the issue. It is sickening. Is this really the people we want leading us. Leaders must have a strong sense of who they are, what they believe, where they are going and how they are going to get there. If they do not have a road map then they will get lost, side-tracked by less important issues or get caught up in trouble when they have to make a detour. Decisions have to be made before hand. When we do not have our beliefs strongly in place before we hit a difficult time then we are going to go with our gut and go with what sounds good or expedient. The path of least resistance if you will. That is a dangerous place to be as an individual even more so as a leader. When you are a leader your responsibility level is exponentially raised. Every decision you make is magnified because it will affect so many more people. I pray for this nation everyday and ask God to sort out the lies and deception that comes at us everyday. We need a person who will stand up for what is right, and just and holy. As the leader goes so goes the nation. If you do not believe that look at history and you will see it to be true. We as individuals have a responsibility as well. If we are a husband and a father we must lead well in our homes. That is where it starts. If we lead our families well and raise our children to love and respect others and to live a life that is holy and right before God then we will be making a very important impact on this country. As goes the leader so goes the family. If you don’t believe me just look at the state of the american family these days. Divorce rates are high and many men leave their families behind to start new lives. Some have never had anything to do with their kids. The saddest thing I ever heard was a story from a judge who had worked in the juvinile system for 20 or more years. In that time he didn’t see more that a hand full of dad’s come in with their child when they had gotten in trouble. It was either the mother that brought them in or else they were just all on their own. Sad it is. Lead well. Lead with a heart of love, a heart of service, and a heart that is humble and willing to admit when it is wrong. Lead well and we will see this nation change in a way that we never thought possible.
